Does anyone have a copy or can anyone tell me where I can download the
ADSIa.exe or ADSIi.exe files? They are NOT available on Microsoft's
websites and I need them due to older developed software that requires
them to operate and function.

Microsoft needs to do something about continually deleting and
removing old DLL files, OCX packages and drivers. I understand they
update their websites but they completely forget that there are
thousands of legacy applications and files that require the older
files and will continue to do so for many years to come. They need
to create a server that is simply an archive storage server perhaps
with a search engine and/or alpha listing off all archives for this
purpose. Some of us are seriously considering moving away from MS
development tools for this very reason... If we cannot rely on
Microsoft tools to be accessible in the future, then it wastes our
time and our customers time developing software using their tools
because in the future instead of being able to migrate, upgrade, bug
fix or whatever, we now have to re-write everything from the ground up
simply because Microsoft deleted everything. Someday software we
write today will also need to be upgraded, altered and changed and
based on the current track record this means what we write today will
become unusable in the near future as well. We already use a couple
other tools for development. If this trend continues, we will be
another dev that simply ceases to use Microsoft products completely.

Anyhow, if anyone can help out with the ADSIi/a.exe download, please
let me know. It would be much appreciated. Also, please email since
I do not regularly monitor these nets... Please use the address:

Thanks in advance...

Hello Malakie,

Never heard about that files or having it on my servers, either 2000 or 2003.
Do you talk about adsiedit.msc which is available within the support tools,
which are on the installation disk under support\tools\suptools.msi?

Best regards

Do you know what these executables do? I've worked in this space for many
years and have never even heard of them. I assume they must be pretty old.
Perhaps there is a better way of doing what they used to do or something?
