Check whether http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957700/ helps you.

So is this the only Domain Controller you have and it's running DNS? Are
there any further errors in the event log? Is the DNS service actually
running? Can you check with nslookup?

Cheers,
Florian

This is an Active Directory NewsGroup and Florian was kind enough to not
point this out, plus you are reposting as opposed to cross posting which
allows you to hold the same discussion within multiple NewsGroups. In the
future please include all NewsGroups you would like to include in a single
discussion thread, thereby not requesting others to go to a seperate
discussion.

Best of luck with your problem, hopefully someone will help you resolve it.

Paul, Shrikant actually posted this based on my request in a response to his
post in the other group concerning multiposting asking him to let anyone in
other groups know that he had multiposted it and where to concentrate
responses. I found the one instance, but wasn't sure if there were more.

Cheers!
