DHCP server shows with a red cross and in the details it says;

Cannot find DHCP server

The dhcp server you specified cannot be located. The dhcp server might
be down, there might be network problems, or the dhcp service might not
be installed.

The error was: The dhcp server is not running on the target computer.

I tried to remove the DHCP role and re-install it and also stop and
start the dhcp server service buth both in vain.

Can someone suggest what I can try pls ?

Is it authorized in AD? If not authorized, it will not start.
If it is authorized, is the DHCP Server Service started?

Any event log errors? If there are, post the EventID# and Source name,
please.

Hello aconti,

Make sure the server is autorized in AD and that the DHCP server service
is started and set to automatic.

Best regards

What happened when you attempted the different troubleshooting scenarios?

What happened when you tried removing it?

What happened when you tried stopping and starting?

Did this dhcp server ever work?

If no, have you authorized it within AD?

Are there are messages in the event log on the server that manages the dhcp
role?
