I know the post is like a year old, but just a heads up about Deep
Freeze - it DOES NOT wipe the changes made to the hard drive when data
is accessed or stored on the system. I ran two tests - both on hard
drives that were in a frozen state. I tossed some files with fictional
SSNs on them around in different places. One machine I gracefully
shutdown and the other I just pulled the plug...ungracefully shutdown
:). We then ran some file deletion recovery software and were able to
pull those files back, from both hard drives.
