Hi,

The below adm script basically disable the Windows XP tour at first logon.
I've created adm template but looks like it has some issues and unable find
the problem. If anyone has idea on adm template please help.

CLASS USER

CATEGORY !!XP_Tour_Disable
EXPLAIN !!XP_Tour_Disable_Help
KEYNAME "Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Tour"
POLICY "RunCount"
VALUENAME "RunCount"
VALUEON NUMERIC 1
VALUEOFF NUMERIC 0
END POLICY
END CATEGORY


[strings]
XP_Tour_Disable="Disable the XP Tour at First"
XP_Tour_Disable_Help="Disable the XP Tour at First"

Hello Ezakial,

Ours looks like this and works fine:

CLASS USER

CATEGORY XP_Tour_Disable
KEYNAME "Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets\Tour"
VALUENAME "RunCount"
VALUEON NUMERIC 0
END POLICY
END CATEGORY

It giving error when the template is added.

Make sure you have the line breaks correct and that you have signs like '
and '' correct. They sometimes get hosed up while copying and pasting so I'd
recommend you check them or replace them by hand (just to be sure).

There is no "Policy" line in the code (but there is an "End Policy"). You
need to add that.

Also note that the value you have for ValueOn is 1 but Meinholf has 0. You
could try changing you value to see if it fixes the problem
