Just to verify......

Currently, I performed...

Win2k8 adprep /forestprep & /domainprep in my Win2k3 R2 Active Directory
enviroment.

My question is, do I have to rerun these tools if I install Win2k8 R2 as a
domain controller????? (Currently, there are NO WIN2k8 DC's)

Thanks

Yes, you will have to run WS2008 R2 forestprep and domainprep prior to
promoting a WS2008 R2 domain controller. Keep in mind that WS2008 R2 is
still in Beta and is not supported and should not be installed in a
production active directory forest unless you have a seperate agreement with
Microsoft in place that provides you support for doing so.

Hello fixthisbox,

For 2008 R2 a new schema version is in use 47, so you have to prepare the
schema again.

Best regards
