Hi all,

The previous admin left and I just checked the active directory integrated
zone in the DNS console. In the general tab, the "Nonsecure and secure"
dynamic updates is chosen. will it be better and more secure to use "secure"
dynamic updates? If I change it to secure, will it have unexpected effect?
ash here before I change.
(Windows 2003 and exchange 2003 SP2 envir.)

Thank you!

That depends. Do you have any non-Windows machines or Windows machines not
joined to the domain? If not, set it to secure. If you do, leave it as is so
those type of clients can connect. Secure updates uses Kerberos
authentication so only Windows AD members can join.

Hello Ed,

When no other OS version machines or or non-domain members are using it leave
it as it is. Otherwise choose secure updates.
