I'm not sure what you mean. Are you saying the Firefox MSI runs each time
and changes the default to Firefox?

You may have to create a registry script that runs as part of the logon
process in a GPO logon script, or a script specified in user AD properties,
or added to your existing logon script, that will set IE as default browser
for HTTP and HTTPS.

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\shell\open\command, double click on default and set
the string to the command you wish to run for Internet addresses, for
example
"c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\https\shell\open\command, double click on default and set
the string to the command you wish to run for Internet addresses, for
example
"c:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome

---
Keep in mind, that if the workstation operating system is x64, you may have
to create separate logon scripts because IE location is different on the C:
drive. Please test before implementing.

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\https\DefaultIcon]
@=hex(2):25,00,53,00,79,00,73,00,74,00,65,00,6d,00,52,00,6f, 00,6f,00,74,00,25,\
00,5c,00,73,00,79,00,73,00,74,00,65,00,6d,00,33,00,32,00,5c, 00,75,00,72,00,\
6c,00,2e,00,64,00,6c,00,6c,00,2c,00,30,00,00,00

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\shell\open\command]
@="\"C:\\Program Files\\Internet Explorer\\IEXPLORE.EXE\" -nohome"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\https\shell\open\command]
@="\"C:\\Program Files\\Internet Explorer\\IEXPLORE.EXE\" -nohome"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\http\shell\open\ddeexec\Application]
@="IExplore"

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\https\shell\open\ddeexec\Application]
@="IExplore"

But my problem now, it's in the Tag "Porgram" on IE the button "Use by

Looks like you've been working hard on this. As for the disable button, I
haven't looked yet, but first impressions indicate it's a user value
probably in HKCU, unless it's a class value in the HKCR that I'm not aware
of. You can use ART (Adv Registry Tracer) to run it on one machine, then
disabled it, then re-run ART to view the differences in the registry that
was created by the change.

Are you sure you ran the ART tool correctly? If it is a registry setting,
then ART would have found it in the difference file.

No, please don;t be sorry! I have a feeling, but I am not sure, that
possibly the setting is buried in a numeric value, and may not necessarily
say "use as default" or anything like that. You would need to look at the
difference file carefully, especially if there are multiple numeric values,
such as in the reg entry you previously posted with those many numerical
values.
