We have an application which is coded to use simple bind. We intend to use ADAM for Authentication, however need clarity on some of the ADAM concepts:

1.What format should be used by the application user? Would it be jusr user name and passwords?
2.Can we do a one time import of users from AD (Windows Server 2003) to ADAM? Should the Windows Server 2003 default Schema be imported into ADAM for this operation?
3.Can passwords be reset in bulk in ADAM?
4.How can application users change/reset their ADAM Passwords?

"We have an application which is coded to use simple bind. We intend to use
ADAM for Authentication,"

could you give a little more detail e.g. why you are not performing a simple
bind against AD (which one of your questions indicates you have)? It would
be good to have a slightly bigger picture before going into detail on your
questions, thanks.

In addition you might want to look at bind redirection [1] if your ADAM
instance can be an AD domain that has useful authentication information for
your application.
