Hello jellf,

You can not do it with AD, you need ISA server for this.

Hello,

you can achieve this task using ISA server. It can authenticate
both from the Ip address and username and password. Please make it sure
that you dont have windows 2008 server because ISA server is not
supported on it.

Thanks

So need AD for my condition but ISA Server.
btw if the condition like below?

CLIENT --- AD/PROXY --- INTERNET

so i want to set authentication with AD then if user have facility
connection internet he will have a proxy connection to internet ... how
about that? for IP can we play with DHCP binding the MAC Address of
CLIENT, so i can register all MAC at DHCP Server ... can we do that?

Thanks and BR

Hello jellf,

The user will logon to the domain with username/password and will be authenticated.
The ISA server checks according to it's configuration if the user is allowed
to access internet/web pages.

So it will look like:
CLIENT --- AD --- PROXY --- INTERNET

ISA server should always run at a dedicated server, especially NOT on the DC.

Hello jellf,

ISA server has at least two NICS, one to the router/internet and the other
one to the LAN where the DCs, member servers and workstations are connected.
Is this meant with your question?
