Hello!

Are Admin Shares needed in workstations in order to use automatic
installation of applications through GPO?
If not, I have set up an application for installation through GPO and it's
not installing.
GPRESULT shows it was applied successfully. How can solve that?

Thankyou!

FM

Hello Fabio,

No share on a workstation is needed to install software. You should use only
a server share.

How did you configure the GPO in detail, is it assigned or published? Is
it done in the computer or user configuration part?

See here about a detailed way:

Have you tried from a machine that has those admin shares enabled? I
recall there were issues with CSEs when Admin Shares were disabled on
client machines.

Other than that, what does the eventlog say? Did you deploy the software
for computers or users?

Cheers,
Florian
