hello,
Alerter service becomes disabled by default in Windows XP SP2 and
Windows Server 2003 SP1, and is no longer supported in Windows Vista and
Windows Server 2008.
My question is: which service can replacing the Alert service in
Windows 2008 (not use the 3rd part solution)?

thank you for your response, Meinolf Weber ,

I notice that in Windows 2003,
Alert service has a Reg key:
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Alerte r'
and Logs has a Reg Key:
'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Sysmon Log'

but in Windows 2008, they both not exist,
Could you tell me which Reg key belog to "Performance Logs& Alerts" ?

thanks.

Hello liyong,

'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\PLA\ belongs to it.

Best regards
