Hello All,

Greetings,

How to effectively lock the application in TS environment? using NTFS
permission is the only solution for Win 2K3?

Senario: We have 50 servers with 300 applications and the application
is spread acrosss the 50 servers. Each server host atleast 70
applications. All the users have TS desktop access as they need to
access mulitple applications but not all.

One possible solution for the above senario is to create seperate
security group for each application and lock the applications
accordingly. But Is there any other alternate solution available? i am
lookng for gpo lockdown as specified below.

1. Install apps on all the servers using standard installation path.
2. Create seperate AD group for each app, and add the users to
requested app group.
3. Create one GPO and add the path (path rule) of all the
applications.
4. Apply the policy.

Please let me know the challanges in the above process and also let me
know if there is any other option available.

Thanks,
Manikandan
