Hi, I didn't know which forum to go to.( I hope I can get an answer here.)
I would like to know,
Q) does IP adress change if I go somewhere other than my house?
or does it stay the same?

Sorry , I was asking about my PC's IP address.
and what I meant was, for instance if I go place like airport, starbucks,
etc... I was just curious if my IP address is different there from my home.

I suppose you're asking about routable/public IP address. Think of public IP
addresses as a land line phone numbers. It's unique around the world. The IP
address assigned to your home internet connection is unique. You won't find
it anywhere else other than your home. So the SIMPLE answer is yes it does
change.

Hi - what IP address do you mean? If you connect your computer to someone

I see, so IP address change whenever I change the location.

Yes, it will change if you connect to the net from a different
location, but it can also change even if you stay in the same place.
Many ISPs use "dynamic IP address" which means that every time you
connect to the net from home (via a router for example) you might get
assigned a new IP from a pool.

I had no idea about dynamic IP address.
I always thought I have same IP address at home.
