Hi

I recently added a Win2k3 server to a network. However I am unable to add
the Built-In Administrators group to any files I save on the server. It
shows the administrator account of the local machine. How do I rectify this
issue, to be able to add the built in group.

Thanks

Microsoft,
Are you talking about the Built-In Administrators group on a domain
controller? You can't add that to the permissions on a separate member
server?
The Built-In groups are special local groups that only have validity on
domain controllers. They are there because there is no local SAM on a DC and
therefore no truly local groups. You can use these groups to enable accounts
to perform operations on the DC e.g print operator, backup operator on the
DC.
You will need to use a domain group to add to permissions on a member
server,
Anthony

Curious, what functional level is the domain and forest?
