We have a 2003 server standard 64bit file server. This server has been
working well for over a year now. About a week ago I noticed my backup jobs
started failing. I let it go to see if it would straighten itself out but
it didn't so I rebooted this morning. Now the NTFS D: is displaying as RAW
and I can't read the data on it. I am running active undelete to try and
get the data off this drive. The server is a Dell Poweredge 2950 with 3
300GB RAID 5 hard drives. There are 2 volumes on this drive. C: at 80GB
and a D: 477GB. The D: drive is a logical partition inside an extended
partition. Unfortunately this drive has all of our network drives on it.
Does anyone know how I can repair this so the drive is displaying NTFS again
and is readable. Being able to recovery this data is my priority right now.
Why would this happen?

Thanks,

Dave
