To All,

I like to move Enterprise root CA from DC1 to DC2. DC1 is old but we're not
going to decommission it yet. I cannot do a backup/restore because of two
different server names. I want to install it on DC2 so that they co-exist.
However, I also found that only one Enterprise root CA can exist in one
domain network environment, all other roots have to be subs. Not sure if
it's true.

Please advise.

Thanks
Calvin

Meinolf,
In the KB, the old server has to be renamed or disconnected from network,
and the new server needs to have the same name as the old server. This is
not what I want to do.
I want to move CA from DC1 to DC2 and keep both servers' names as is. Can
that be done?

Thanks
Calvin

Hello Calvin C.,

You must keep the name, sorry. That's the reason you don't find another solution.

Best regards
