Domain servers are 2003 SP2.
I need to make some GPO changes for IE7 using GPO.
I have downloaded the new INETRES.ADM from Microsoft at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=11a b3e81-6462-4fda-8ee5-fcb8264c44b1&DisplayLang=en.
My questions are:
1. The site specifies OK for 2003 SP1. Is it approved with SP2?
2. As I have used the previous INETRES.ADM to make policy changes, do I
simply replace the old INETRES.ADM with the new INETRES.ADM? If so do I need
to redo my policy changes?
3. Do I rename the new file To something like IE7.ADM and use this alongside
the old INETRES.ADM?
I cannot specify versions of the INETRES.ADM files as they are not specified
in the file properties.
Any help appreciated

Is there a Win Vista or Win7 machine around? Can you make those changes
from one of those machine? That'd make things easier. As to your questions,

1. the settings should be SP2 proof. I think the site just hasn't been
updated.
2. I would replace the file with the one on SYSVOL and on your local
machine (make sure you have a backup) and run from there.
3. renaming it and using both would result in doublicate entries as far
as I know. I'd stick with one file only.

Cheers,
Florian
