Hi all,

our Windows 2008 Failover Cluster does not create a reverese DNS Entry.
Just the Forward DNS entry is created properly. The cluster ressource says
"DNS status OK" and there are no error messages in the Eventlog or in the
cluster log.

When the Cluster creates the Forward DNS entry, the checkbox "update
associated PTS record" is *not* checked. i manually activated this checkbox
and took the Cluster ressource offline and online, but nothing changes (no
pointer record)

Any suggestions on this?

Thanks!

Thank you very much, this answered my question.
I set the paramater "PublishPTRRecords" to 1 and now the PTR gets created
when the ressource comes online.
