Hi,

I have an AD 2003 environment. I recently created a GPO using Internet
Explorer Administration Kit for IE8. I deployed an .msi to a test OU and it
worked just fine. Then I went to modify the GPO and change some settings. I
copied the new .msi to the same location and didn't do anything to the group
policy object. The problem I am experiencing is that the newly modified .msi
doesn't get applied. Is there some unique identifier that I must change when
I modify the .msi object?

Thanks in advance,
JeffH

Hello JeffH,

If you change an .msi and even don't change the name or any other setting,
remove the previous one and apply the new one again.

You'll have to hit the "Redeploy" button on the Software Installation
package in the GPO.

Cheers,
Florian
