All,

I promoted by Forest and Domain to Native Windows 2003 and didn't realize
that we had old applicances that required NT4 emulation type of
authentication. Can enable this type of emulation now that I promoted my
domain?

Nothing changed by raising the forest level to 2003 Native. It is only
affecting NT DCs. If you have problems with member server running NT disable
SMB signing or look at this KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555038

Raising the forest level should not have affected NTLM authentication. What
errors exist regarding these apps? What type of apps are they?

Otherwise, it may be something simple as disabling SMB signing on each DC.
